ASP.NET Web Forms MVP
Update: Just found some great tutorials and articles on the MVP wiki here: http://wiki.webformsmvp.com/index.php?title=Spread_the_Word
ASP.NET MVC might be the new kid on the block, but there are still a host of compelling advantages to ASP.NET Web Forms.
The ASP.NET Web Forms MVP project is about bringing the love back to Web Forms through a renewed approach to using it – an approach that facilitatesĀ separation of concerns andĀ testability whilst maintaining theĀ rapid development that Web Forms was built to deliver.
This is really cool stuff – we’ve just started using it in our development and I can already see the benefits to plain Web Forms or MVC. Granted, if you’ve already developed a pure MVC site, this probably won’t be useful to you, but if (like most of us, I assume) you have an existing ASP.NET Web Forms site and want to try the features of MVC without completely rewriting your framework, I highly suggest checking this out.
I’ll try to see if I can abstract out some of our internal examples for a future blog post. =)

This is incredibly fun to try in the game; it’s not too hard, but it does take a bit of patience.

YouTube – Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.
Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 – July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals. Flickr Blog: Woman gets struck by lightning.
Because you insisted, hereās the unedited screaming version. I also added video from a minute before the lightning struck so you can get an idea of how hard it was raining. From what i understand, it went through my left hand holding the camera, crossed my back and exited out of my right hand holding onto the metal railing. No entry or exit wounds, just a really good zap!
Seriously. Wow. Here’s the original post:

The Best of Parkour
The video quality is a little shoddy, but it’s a good compilation of Parkour clips from District B13 and elsewhere…
Parkour and FreeRunning
More parkour…
Mister Parkour
This guy (Adam Dunlap) teaches a Parkour class in Portland, which I’ve been taking for the past two weeks. The class is really fun, and he’s really good at Parkour:
Best of David Belle…
I’m in a big parkour kick right now. I can even do a *little* of this.
(Very little. Not anywhere close to David Belle, mind you.)
DJ Q-bert’s Wave Twisters
I can pretty much guarantee that this is the craziest shit you will ever see. Yep.
