GM Script: Flickr Buddy Icon Reply v3.5

Update: This has been updated to v3.5, see the Flickr Discussion for details: http://www.flickr.com/groups/flickrhacks/discuss/72157605959212132/

Here’s the v3.5 GM Script itself: GM Script: Flickr Buddy Icon Reply v3.5

This is my favorite Greasemonkey script for Flickr:

original details and installation instructions can be found here

I have updated the script to include username reply & handle iconless and deleted contacts properly.

  1. you can now generate the contact’s username in bold as well as his/her buddy icon in the comment textarea
  2. if the contact does not have an customised icon, only name reply is offered next to his/her comment
  3. if contact’s account has been deleted, this script will skip over that comment
  4. the text cursor is now placed after the reply insertion, so you can start typing straight away 🙂

N.B. I still have not worked on [accommodating] for the referrer script. sorry 😦

  1. I am so glad you posted this because the old script i had no longer worked. sadly, this script does not seem to be working for me either. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

    Thanks

    1. Yeah, I’m not having luck with this current version either anymore.

Out of curiosity, which version of Firefox/Greasemonkey are you using?

  2. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070611 Firefox/3.0.12 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
