Nokia’s N810 Internet Tablet is a little bigger than the iPod Touch, but still pocketable—a characteristic that makes it perfect for use as a portable music-maker.

Dubwise, a member of the Internet Tablet Talk forums, uses his to operate the virtual dials and knobs of a Yamaha digital mixer.

My photographer friend (who is still a film purist, despite using a Canon 40D on the job) got a big kick out of this, and I have to admit, this is an awesome idea on Flickr’s part:

I’m glad I’ve waited, and I’m really hoping that this phone turns out to be as cool as I think it can be. I’ve been rocking a Nokia N95 since before the iPhone came out, through the G1 (Google Android / HTC Dream), and plan to keep it until this phone reaches the market:

  • Symbian S60 Taco 5 OS
  • 3.2″ 640×360px, 16M color touchscreen display
  • 3.2mpx autofocus camera with dual LED flash and 30 FPS VGA recording
  • Built-in A-GPS and Wi-Fi
  • USB 2.0 and  Bluetooth 2.0
  • 3.5mm headphone jack, TV-Out port

  • microSDHC memory card slot (up to 16GB, 8GB memory card in a box)

I’m not sure what this Symbian S60 “Taco 5 OS” is all about, but if it’s anything like the current Symbian S60 OS, I’ll be happy with it. :-)

Here’s a shot of the UI, also from Unwired View:

I love this show. (And it doesn’t hurt that I was a big fan of Summer Glau from when she was on Firefly, either.) :-D
