Much thanks to PhotoInference for his tips on night photography. Per his suggestion, this was a relatively short shot (15 seconds) at a relatively high ISO (1600) with a wide aperture (f/3.5). Unfortunately, there was still a fair amount of light pollution, but I think it turned out okay for my first attempt.
