cnet News.com: Google’s Android comes to life

Even more interesting to me than the iPhone and its new 3G model is Google’s Android OS, which was recently demonstrated at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco. Much of my interest in the Android OS comes from the fact that when it is released, most of the platform will be made available as open source.
But, since a picture is worth a thousand words, here’s the goods on the UI:
